My name is Jennifer Matthews. I am an artist living in Mandan, North Dakota with my husband and 3 children. Living in a town that is so close to wildlife and the countryside has proven to be a benefit feeding my realistic oil paintings. Capturing my surroundings on canvas has always been very gratifying. Whether it is the bird in my backyard, the deer by my grandparent's cabin, or great wild animals that roam the nearby countryside, I find them all beautiful and inspirational. From the tiny butterfly to the majestic bull elk, I have learned many things from them all. My original paintings and fine art prints hang in businesses and private homes throughout the country. My pieces have won numerous awards including the prestigious People's Choice at the Badland's Art Association annual show in 2004.
